Lent 2021

Lent begins on Wednesday, February 17 with Ash Wednesday and calls us into a period of prayer, fasting and giving for 40 days as we travel to the cross and tomb. Resources are listed below to assist you and your family in keeping a holy and life-giving Lent.

  • Lent-to-go boxes

The next edition of Sunday School-to-Go is here!  The Faith Formation Team has assembled a simple set of materials for children and families to explore the season of Lent at home.  Sign-up to receive a box. Be sure to include your child’s name and current grade level!

Pick up your boxes on Saturday, February 13 from 11 am to Noon at Epiphany, or from the Commons at a time that is convenient for you after February 13.

  • Lent craft day

Join us for an afternoon of crafting. We’ll be making glass prayer jars and Resurrection Stones—resources you can use this Lent to pray and tell the story. You do not need to be a “crafter” to join us! The activities are simple and any age child or adult is welcome.  Sign up here.

  • adult daily devotions for lent

This beautiful, full-color Lenten devotional highlights readings from the gospel of Mark with 46 entries, one for each day from Ash Wednesday to Easter. Each reading is accompanied by a photo, a quote to ponder, a reflection, and a prayer. This accessible and colorful format makes it easy to incorporate a simple Christian observance into your Lenten journey.

Copies will be available in the Commons or may be mailed or delivered upon request.

  • The way of the cross

Did you enjoy the Living Nativity during the Advent season?  Join us this Lent for an engaging and interactive retelling of the Holy Week story from the safety of your cars.
