"Great Churches": The history and impact of Culturally-Important Churches

9:45 am, Price Hall, Sundays in Winter and Spring 2018

Now that we will be adding to and modifying our church building again, join Barry Westin to look at other Christian churches built over the years. Similar to the course on Gothic Cathedrals offered a few years ago, half of the time will be devoted to a video on the churches presented by Dr. William Cook. Over the course of our time together, we will take a look at a wide range of churches including Russian Orthodox, Romanesque, Gothic, the Wooden Stave churches of Norway, Quaker meeting houses, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

"From Conflict to Communion": The Dialogue between Lutherans and Catholics

9:45 am, Sala Chapel, January 21 through February 18

Join Pastor Phillip Martin and Pastor Joseph Bolick to further explore the five imperatives established in From Conflict to Communion: Lutheran—Catholic Common Commemoration of the Reformation in 2017; Report of the Lutheran–Roman Catholic Commission on Unity.

Bible Study: Tuesday & Wednesday

Bible Studies meet in Sala Chapel

Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am or Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm.

The current study is Acts: Seeing God's Power in Action

Sometimes our lives seem powerless.  Not so for the people of the early church.  Jesus transformed their lives and they changed the world!  Acts is the extraordinary record of what they did.  The power that we see in action in this book is the same power that can transform our lives.

All are welcome to join us!
